Public rules for community benefit

It's always fun to see other cultures' ways of posting rules for community harmony. Here are three examples from Paris and from the London suburb of Hounslow.

The first of these is from the door of a common space in a Latin Quarter co-op. Someone tagged the wall inside with day-glo green graffiti ("des tags"); someone else left foam-gel residue ("jets de plastique colorés") on the floor. The author is the the editor of some prestigious journal. His language could be Racine's. My bourgeois translation follows:

The person who left the plastic spray residue in the courtyard would be well inspired to come clean it up. As to the individual who left the green graffiti, would he please identify himself so that we might send him the bill of the painter who is going to repair the damage.

This one is self explanatory. I saw French versions of this in Paris.

On the back of the No. 85 bus from Rue des Ecoles to the Champ de Mars I noticed the emergency instructions for getting out the window in case of fire. It says to break the window with the hammers that are stored behind the driver's seat.

After warning you not to put your arms out the window it goes on to say that you can open and close the window according to your choice. However, in case of dispute between passengers priority is give to the person who wants the window closed.
