Report from DC

The first hearing went well; what I had to say was pretty much what the members of the committee wanted to hear. Senator Kennedy ran the hearing but the several famous members (Clinton and Obama) were busy someplace else. I had a bizarre experience with Jean's blog this morning--my anti-viral software, McAfee, kept rapidly ushering me off the page and telling me they were afraid it was a phishing site. I tried to follow their directions and label it a safe site but they KEPT ushering me off so I finally had to disable that part of their program. It doesn't exactly worry me--surely blogger protects their sites from being turned into the Evil Empire--but I can't help but wonder why they were so worried. Hope the cold is better soon. And the office improved. The snow looks nice; it's pretty mild again here in the east.
