It's been almost a year since the last--won't try to chronicle what's past but thought it worth posting now because I am leaving for Kampala in a couple of hours where I will work on an evaluation of the quality initiative inside the AIDS program. I figure there will be posting time on the weekends and it's a good way to send the news. I am also inspired by "Harry in Athens", a blog by our great-nephew who will be visiting this summer. Note to Theo: put up a link to Harry's blog, please.
If you asked me to pick a time of year when I don't want to be away from Connecticut, this
I took a number of garden pictures but can't edit them--my aging computer goes slightly nuts when I use the editing program--so they aren't as elegant as usual. The one on the right shows the "wedding tree", a Stewartia planted last year. It has lovely white flowers mid-summer; looks like I'll miss those too.
