Just what we don't need

This strikes me as the worst kind of old-school litmus-test identity politics that has left Democrats on the losing side of so many elections. No one should be given the nomination because of their gender or the color of their skin. They need to earn it. And regardless of who wins the Democratic nomination - after this race, no one can say they didn't earn it.
