The Rockies won! We're going to the World Series!! OK - maybe we is a bit of a stretch, seeing as I'm a previously acknowledged fair weather fan. But it's human nature - I can't help but get excited when a team to which i have some tiny string of connection starts doing well (see also England rugby).My colleague Tom and I were at the game last night and had a great time. The crowd was electric - and when the last out came, the whole place exploded. To the left's a picture from right at the end of the game. World Series tickets go on sale Monday - we're going to try to get some, but since this is the first time Denver has seen a World Series, you can bet they'll be tough to come by. I'll be sure to report back here.

Yes, but what a wonderful evolution for a Mets fan! Good luck on getting World Series tickets. Google won't let me change what I'm called (Jean's will; why is that?) but this is Mom.
